This issue will be address in Spectrum 09.01.03.00. Reference the following SRN entry:


Symptom:
When RMONApp fires an event APPLICATION_LOST, it can not evaluate the serverity of alarm.

Resolution:
Pass a variable(SUPPRESSED-5 or CRITICAL-3) when RMONApp fires an event APPLICATION_LOST.

event_disp_error_file
After enabling event_disp_error_file in the $SPECROOT/SS/.vnmrc file, users are seeing the following error in the event_disp_error_file created:


Error evaluating severity expression for event 10d09, model handle xxx " - errors. The model is in every case if the type  RMONApp


The following is the configuration of the 0x10d09 event in the $SPECROOT/SS/CsVendor/Cabletron/EventDisp file:

The {v 1} entry for the Alarm Severity is new functionality for SPECTRUM 9.0 for Alarm Severity Mapping using a varbind value. Please refer to the SPECTRUM 9.0 Event Configuration User Guide for more information on Alarm Severity Mapping.



Causes of this problem:
The Alarm Severity Mapping not setup correctly for event 0x10d09.

Additional Information:

Work-around: Change the entry for the 0x10d09 event in the $SPECROOT/SS/CsVendor/Cabletron/EventDisp file to the following and re-cache the SPECTRUM Event Configuration:
