Issue:

Following is seen in the VNM.OUT / Spectrum Control Panel on a Spectrum 10.2 install.

 

 

“ERROR TRACE at CsFNodeTbl.cc(279): Destroying CsFaultRecord with non-zero reference count:“

You may also see a stack output after this error message.

Environment:
Spectrum 10.2Operation System: Linux / Solaris / Windows
Cause:

Identified due to Fault Isolation with fanouts and multiple connected devices.

 

Reproduction steps to create error:

1. Create a fanout, connect it with 4 devices

2. Make 3 of the devices down (Fanout will go red, and other 3 down devices will go grey-suppressed)

3. Make one of the down devices to UP. (Fanout will go green, other 2 down devices will be red)

4. This is where the error message is seen in the VNM.OUT

Resolution:

Error is benign and can be safely ignored. It will be fixed in Spectrum 10.2.1 under DE266961.
