ERROR 03:15:10  org.apache.solr.common.SolrException: Invalid Number: static

Question:

What do these errors mean and should one be concerned?

Environment:

CA App Experience Analytics 15.4, 16.1

Answer:

These errors are generated by the search warmers that run on startup. They attempt a basic text search on the unique id for each core, and the invalid string error would be triggered if there are null values in the data for indexed fields. These are often optional fields but still need to be indexed when there is data, and the message serves more like a WARNING or reminder on the same.

The failure doesn't cause any problems - the relevant caches etc are still populated with meta data read from the disk, hence you can safely ignore these ERRORs.
