To configure Windows Integrated Authentication in APM 12.9

1. Click Administration, System Configuration.

2. On the left, click EEM.

3. Select Windows Integrated from the Authentication Type drop-down list.

4. Click Save.

5. On the computer where CA EEM is installed, complete the following steps:

a. Click Start, Program Files, CA, Embedded Entitlements Manager, EEM UI.

The EEM login screen appears.

b. Log in to CA EEM as an administrator.

c. Click Configure, EEM Server, Global Users/Global Groups.

d. Select Reference from an external directory.

e. Select Microsoft Active Directory from the type drop-down list.

f. Enter the information for the Active Directory.

g. Click Save.

6. In IIS leave only Anonymous Authentication enabled for all ITAM sites

 

Windows integrated authentication is enabled.

 

Note: For Windows integrated authentication to work, the CA EEM server, the

Active Directory, and the client computer making the authentication request

must belong to the same domain. In addition, when you create and authorize

a user in the CA EEM local store with a user name that exists in the Active

Directory, the corresponding Active Directory user is automatically 

authorized.
