java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

at oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CTTIoer.processError(T4CTTIoer.java:439)

This message indicates that EM is unable to connect to APM database. In the install directory, there is no schematools.log.

The Introscope_9.5.3.0_InstallLog.log shows:
#Choose APM Database

#APM Database Schema
chooseNewOrExistingSchema=\"\",\"Use Existing Schema\"

This is new environment. EM and database are installed during one install run.

Do the following steps to resolve:

Make a back up of the APM database if it exists, and then drop the APM database. Run the EM installer again and select the "database only" install.

- When prompted for a location choose a new location i.e. where no installation currently exists. (You may provide another location for database only install.)
- When prompted to choose APM database select Oracle.
- then choose Upgrade database schema or create new database schema
- Select Create new database schema.
