In the policy utilized for discovery set the following:

Parameter                                                   - Symbol                                    - Value
==============================================================
Naming - Truncate by Regular Expression - NH_NAME_SRVC_PAT             - ''
Naming - Use DNS                                      - NH_USE_NAME_SRVC             - sysName

By default, for elements whose sysName contain a full qualified domain name(FQDN), eHealth will truncate the sysName at the first dot.

To change this behavior to include the FQDN  in eHealth 6.1, the Policy symbol must be changed from:

   NH_NAME_SRVC_PAT="(\..*)$"

To:

   NH_NAME_SRVC_PAT=''   (2 single-quotes)

his:

NH_USE_NAME_SRVC=no

to this:

NH_USE_NAME_SRVC=sysName

Make sure you Save the Policy! No reboot is necessary

domain name cut out of element name

Problem Environment:
eHealth 6.2
NH_USE_NAME_SRVC
NH_NAME_SRVC_PAT

Causes of this problem:
An new value has been added to NH_USE_NAME_SRVC: The new value is sysName
Setting the parameter to this new value, described in the fix below, will allow element names to contain the complete sysName for those devices whose sysNames include a domain suffix.

Warning: depending on the element type, this may cause the element name to exceed the 64 character limit, causing the element name to be truncated at the end.
