EEM installation fails with "CA directory installation failed" error.

Symptoms:

EEM installation fails with "CA directory installation failed" error.

In the eiam-install.log log file, we see "CA Directory installation returned 1605".

 

Environment:

EEM r12.x

All Windows platform

 

Resolution:

Follow the steps provided below.

1. Open a command prompt and type "regedit" and hit enter to open the registry editor.

2. Navigate to "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\UpgradeCodes".

3. Under the above key select "FDAACF7C49F89A64986B396A0EEC62D9".

4. Right-click the above key and click "Export" and make a backup of the registry key.

 

5. Delete the registry key.

 

"HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\UpgradeCodes\FDAACF7C49F89A64986B396A0EEC62D9"

6. Re-run the CA Directory installer.
