Question:

This document shows how to enable or start a eACWS trace, or a Web Service trace.

Answer:

Linux/UNIX

1. Stop Access Control services.

2. Edit seos.ini and locate the TraceEnabled token in the [WebService] section. Set this to "1".

3. Start Access Control services.

4. Kill the eacws process.

5. Start eacws manually in debug mode: /opt/CA/AccessControlServer/WebService/eacws -debug

6. Log into the ENTM interface. Reproduce the problem.

7. Upload /opt/CA/AccessControlServer/WebService/log/WebService.log to the issue.

 

Windows

1. Stop Access Control Services via secons -s.

2. Edit the registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ComputerAssociates\AccessControl\WebService to set TraceEnabled to '1'.

3. Start Access Control Services via seosd -start.

4. Restart The CA Access Control Web Service via services.mmc

5. Log into the ENTM interfcae. Reproduce the problem.

6. Upload C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\AccessControlServer\WebService\log\WebService.log to the issue.
