Introduction:

Spectrum generates incorrect SNMPv3 duplicate engine ID alarm for the same IP address of a device when primary address is down in a Ipv4 mapped to Ipv6 address scenario.

Question:

How can I fix an incorrect "DUPLICATE SNMPv3 ENGINE IDS DETECTED" alarm on  firewall devices in Spectrum 10.0 version that occurs when the primary address is down?

To fix this issue please open a support issue and request patch Spectrum _10.00.00.PTF_10.0.004, applying this patch will resolve this problem.

SPECTRUM 10.00.00 is the prerequisite for installation of this patch.

This patch must be installed on the SpectroSERVER.

 

This problem is fixed in Spectrum 10.1 and higher under 21879057-1 (DE34624).

Symptom: Spectrum generates incorrect SNMPv3 duplicate engine ID alarm for the same IP address of a device when primary address is down.

Resolution: Spectrum will not  generate incorrect SNMPv3 duplicate engine ID alarm for the same IP address of a device when primary address is down.
