This document clarifies where to locate the eHealth 6.2.2 downloads, which ISO files to download, and how to start the upgrade or fresh installation process. It covers both Solaris and Widows 2003, in this order:

Performing a Fresh Installation of eHealth 6.22 on a Solaris Server
Updating eHealth from 6.1.x or 6.2.0 to 6.2.2 on a Solaris Server
Updating eHealth from 6.2.1 to 6.2.2 on a Solaris Server
Performing a Fresh Installation of eHealth 6.22 on a Windows 2003 Server
Updating eHealth from 6.1.x or 6.2.0 to 6.2.2 on a Windows 2003 Server

Solution:

The Download Center has the DVD images that you need for a fresh install. Make the following selections to download:

Product Name: CA eHealth E2E Console - MULTI-PLATFORM
Release: 6.2
Gen Level: SP02

Follow the instructions below pertaining to the type of installation you are performing.

PERFORMING A FRESH INSTALLATION OF EHEALTH 6.2.2 ON A SOLARIS SERVER
OR
UPGRADING EHEALTH FROM 5.7 OR 6.0 TO 6.2.2 ON A SOLARIS SERVER

There will be four images to download:

CA eHealth Performance Manager r6.1 for Solaris DVD 1 of 2
DVD01101404E.iso

CA eHealth Performance Manager r6.1 for Solaris (Oracle 10g) DVD 2 of 2
DVD01101334E.iso

CA eHealth PM 6.2 SP02 for Solaris DVD 1 of 2 - Download Only
DVD08105248E.iso

CA eHealth PM 6.2 SP02 for Solaris (Oracle 10.2.0.4 patch) DVD 2 of 2 - Download Only

You will need to either burn each ISO image to DVD or mount them as virtual DVDs; mounting them is covered in the installation guide. Copy the contents of each of the four ISOs to a local partition. For the rest of this section we will assume you have saved each to the following example locations:

/tmp/eh61Inst_1
/tmp/eh61Inst_2
/tmp/eh622Inst_1
/tmp/eh622Inst_2

Extract InstallPlus from /tmp/eh622Inst_1. by running the command: ENU_622_SOL_00_PLUS.sh

Once the files are extracted, start installPlus with the install.nh file.

During the preparatory steps of the installation, you will be asked to provide the location of the install files you will be using. Each location is listed below:

eHealth files: /tmp/eh61Inst_1/eHealth
Oracle Install files: /tmp/eh61Inst_2/OracleBase
Oracle Update files: /tmp/eh622Inst_2

UPDATING EHEALTH FROM 6.1.X or 6.2.0 to 6.2.2 ON A SOLARIS SERVER

There are two images to download:

CA eHealth PM 6.2 SP02 for Solaris (Oracle 10.2.0.4 patch) DVD 2 of 2 - Download Only

You will need to either burn the ISO images to DVD or mount them as virtual DVDs; mounting it is covered in the installation guide. Copy the contents of the DVDs to a local partition. For the rest of this section we will assume you have saved the files to the following example location:

/tmp/eh622Inst_1
/tmp/eh622Inst_2

Before you can install eHealth 6.2.2 you need to upgrade Oracle to 10.2.0.4. Follow the instructions in the readme file in /tmp/eh622Inst_2 to perform this process.

Next, uncompress the following file in the /tmp/eh622Inst_1 directory:

ENU_620_SOL_P02.ZIP
A number of files and subdirectories will be extracted. To install 6.2.2, first make sure the eHealth services are stopped, as well as the SystemEdge service (if it is installed on the server).

Install 6.2.2 with the command: InstallPatch

This script will also install the latest certification kit for you.

Please note that there are readme files that will be extracted along with these files, and we strongly recommend you review them before installing.

UPDATING EHEALTH FROM 6.2.1 to 6.2.2 ON A SOLARIS SERVER

There is one image to download:

You will need to either burn the ISO image to DVD or mount it as a virtual DVD; mounting it is covered in the installation guide. Copy the contents of the DVD to a local partition. For the rest of this section we will assume you have saved the files to the following example location:

/tmp/eh622Inst_1

Uncompress the following file in the /tmp/eh622Inst_1 directory:

ENU_620_SOL_P02.ZIP

A number of files and subdirectories will be extracted. To install 6.2.2, first make sure the eHealth services are stopped, as well as the SystemEdge service (if it is installed on the server).

Install 6.2.2 with the command: InstallPatch

This script will also install the latest certification kit for you.

You will need to either burn each ISO image to DVD or mount them as virtual DVDs using a third-party application such as MagicISO or Virtual CD-ROM (these third party apps are not provided by and are unsupported by CA Technologies). Copy the contents of each of the four DVDs to a local partition. For the rest of this section we will assume you have saved each to the following example locations:

c:\eh61Inst_1
c:\eh61Inst_2
c:\eh622Inst_1
c:\eh622Inst_2

Open a command line window and switch into the c:\eh622Inst_2 directory. Unzip the Oracle file ORA_WIN_10204.ZIP.

Extract InstallPlus from c:\eh622Inst_1. In the command line window, change into the c:\eh622Inst_1 directory and run the command: ENU_622_WIN_00_PLUS.exe

Once the files are extracted, start installPlus with the setup.exe file.

During the preparatory steps of the installation, you will be asked to provide the location of the install files you will be using. Each location is listed below:

eHealth files: c:\eh61Inst_1\eHealth
Oracle Install files: c:\eh61Inst_2\OracleBase

IMPORTANT: You MUST disable the Windows Instrumentation Service before running the Oracle install.

Updating eHealth from 6.1.x or 6.2.0 to 6.2.2 is the same as performing a service pack and cert update. First, unzip the following file in the c:\eh622Inst_1 directory:

ENU_622_WIN_P00.ZIP

A number of files and subdirectories will be extracted. To install 6.2.2, first make sure the eHealth61 service is stopped, as well as the SystemEdge service (if it is installed on the server).

Install 6.2.2 from command line with the command: InstallPatch

This script will also install the latest certification kit for you.
