Introduction:

This KB details how to download all of the CA Single Sign-On (p.k.a Siteminder) components from the support.ca.com site.

 

 

Background:

The General Availability (GA) releases and the Cumulative Release (CR) releases are not stored in the same location.

General Availability (GA) releases include: 

Major Releases (e.g. r12.51; r12.52; r12.7)

Service Packs (SP): (e.g. r12.52 SP1; r12.52 SP2; r12.6 SP1; r12.6 SP2)

 

Cumulative Release (CR) releases include a CR number (e.g. r12.51 cr01; r12.52 SP1 cr01; etc)

Cumulative Releases are complete standalong installations.  They can be used for an initial installation as well as an in-place upgrade.  The Cumulative Release is built on the Major Release (and service pack, if applicable) and includes all the Dev Fixes released on that build.  Subsequent CR's include all the Dev Fixes from the previous CR's as well as they are built on the CR source code of the previous CR.  This makes them truly cumulative.

 

 

 

Environment:

Instructions:

Download GA versions of CA Single Sign On Components

NOTE: GA releases are for Major Version and Service Pack releases. Cumulative Release downloads follow a different process. 

 

1) Browse to "support.ca.com" 

2) Logon to the site. 

3) 'Click' the MENU drop-down and select DOWNLOAD MANAGEMENT 

4) Authenticate with the 'support.ca.com' logon (If Prompted) 

5) Search for Product "Single Sign On" 

6) Select the appropriate component (e.g."CA Single Sign On Policy Server (SiteMinder)") 

7) Select "Product Downloads Available" below the search field 

8) Scroll down and select the appropriate component (e.g. CA Siteminder MULTI-PLATFORM) 

9) Select the specific release in the RELEASE drop-down. 

10 Select the specific Service Pack in the SERVICE PACK drop-down. 

11) Select the download method for each component.

Download Cumulative Release (CR) versions of CA Single Sign On Components

1) Browse to: 

https://support.ca.com/us/product-information/ca-single-sign-on.html 

2) Logon to the site. 

3) 'Click' HOTFIX/CUMULATIVE RELEASE INDEX 

4) Select the component using the jump links at the top of the page 

5) Select the specific Version/Service Pack (SP)/Cumulative Release (CR) combination. 

 

NOTE: Each cumulative release is a full install and can be used for parallel installations as well as in-place upgrades.
