Introduction:

It may be possible to configure a single NIC with multiple IP addresses on a server that is running CA Service Desk Manager.

Question:

Does CA Service Desk Manager 14.1 support running with multiple IP addresses for a single NIC?

Answer:

No. Even if you are not experiencing problems with this setup, it is unsupported by the CA Support and CA Engineering teams. 

You may consider using multiple NIC on a single server.  If you use multiple NIC, be sure that you have the most recent cumulative patch applied in the environment, and check with CA Support about any other test fix packages that may be required.
