Question:
Does CA PPM work with MS Project "365" versions?

For example, CA PPM 15.3 (SaaS) and MS Project 2016 (Office 365 version, not standalone version).
MSP 2016

Going to Browse Projects from MS Project, CA PPM Addin an error is received: "Variable not defined".
Answer:
No.
At the time of writing, no versions of CA PPM up to CA PPM 15.4 are certified with the MS Project 2016, Office 365 version.

Multiple issues have been reported, even on systems that work correctly most of the time with MS Project otherwise.

Please move to a certified version of MS Project and retest.

To confirm if your version of MS Project is an Office 365 version, please search for that specific version on the internet.
If it is an Office 365 version, the number will probably come up on a page similar to the following:

Update history for Office 365 ProPlus (listed by date)
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdates/update-history-office365-proplus-by-date?redirectSourcePath=%252fen-us%252farticle%252fversion-and-build-numbers-of-update-channel-releases-ae942449-1fca-4484-898b-a933ea23def7

Our CA PPM Release Notes give the certified versions.

The following is for CA PPM 15.3 (On-Premise), but similar pages exist for all CA PPM versions:
https://docops.ca.com/ca-ppm/15-3/en/release-information/release-notes-on-premise#ReleaseNotes(OnPremise)-HardwareandSoftwareCompatibilityRequirements

"Support for Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus is provided for Excel and PowerPoint, but not for Microsoft Project Pro."

The combinations of CA PPM and MS Project are dependent on compatible versions, so that always the first thing to rule out.
