Introduction:

CA Client Automation has no tool to Export and Import Queries from one

Domain Manager to another, the process is mainly a manual process,

but this command can help speed up that process.

Question:

Is there a way to import multiple query definitions (cmsobj files) from the command line ?

We have hundreds of query definitions which were created manually

and would like to import them from the command line.

Environment:
CA Client Automation - All Versions
Answer:

Query definitions can be Imported using the following command:

amObjectManager.exe /IMPORTCONTENTS:"Folder_path"

There is no automatic way to Export Queries, you have to do the following:

1.  Right-click on the Query and select Export Definition

2.  Select the Folder you want to Export to and Save the File.

3.  The copy that folder to the other Domain Manager.

4.  Run the command above, pointing to the folder you created.

(You will not get any output from the command).

5. Refresh the GUI and you should see the Imported Queries.

Note: This command can be executed only on the Domain Manager.
