Issue:
Planning to use IMODSAMP in Exception definition. Can the IMOD module name be put  in the  Exception screen and start using it?
or does it need to be compiled and put in a Library? Also, for a new IMOD, does it need to be  compiled and put tin a specific library?
Resolution:
Yes, the IMOD needs to be compiled. If using the IMOD editor in ISPF, once the changes are saved, do the following:

Select the member with the "C" option to compile it. If the compile works, then select it with "P" and that makes the IMOD "Production" status. Then select it with the "L" option, which loads the new IMOD into the storage of the GSS address space. The new version of the IMOD can then be used. If not using the IMOD editor, then the same process can be done in batch using the SRVMAINT utility, which is documented in the CA Common Services guide.
