The Workload Automation AE (AutoSys) product licenses two components: Server (scheduling engine) and Agents

* The license checks are executed on the scheduler machine.

* The scheduler license is validated once every 24 hours.

* The agent licenses (number of agents) is validated once every hour.

In case a violation occurs, it is treated as a warning and is written to the event_demon* logs.

Example:

CAUAJM_W_90016 CA WAAE [2WAA] - Component not licensed.

Please contact your account representative to obtain a new license.

CAUAJM_W_90016 CA WAAE [2WAS] - Component not licensed.

Please contact your account representative to obtain a new license.

2WAA is the License code for “CA Workload Automation Agent”

2WAS is the License code for “CA Workload Automation Server”

You can contact CA licensing service to request for a valid license.

The license will need to be installed in “ca.olf” license file under “ca_lic” directory on the Scheduler node.

By default ca_lic directory is created under the following path on your AutoSys Server machine :

opt/CA/SharedComponents/ca_lic

/opt/CA/ca_lic

CA licensing service will provide more detailed information for your license installation.
