Question:
While trying to export Inventory lists it was noted that many devices had only IP address, and not Host Name set..  Why would the host name not be set?
Environment:
Any CAPM environment
Answer:
If an IP doesn't resolve to a hostname, the attribute of HostName will be blank within the UI. SystemName does not depend on hostname. If SNMP MIB OID sysName is not not empty, we are going to fill in system name attribute on the device item no matter if Hostname is resolved or not
