Using Identity Manager you might see that your CA Directory corporate store is crashing when performing any user search (by first name or last name forexample). This issue is specific to DX Server 12.0 SP9 - 12.0.6667.
This problem was addressed in CA Directory DX Server 12.0 SP10.
Version 12.0 SP9 - 12.0.6667 - is crashing when performing searches on users if this is used for Identity Manager's corporate user store.
The dx server logs will show:

This problem was resolved in CA Directory DX Server 12.0 SP10. You will need to upgrade to that version.
