The diagsysedge executable is a useful utility that gives status information on CA System Edge and any AIMS that are also installed.


What is the typical cause of the diagsysedge utility failing to produce a full output file?

Any Windows or Unix environment

The most typical reason is the IP address being used on the system does not match what has been configured in the network.

1. Please run the diagsysedge utility and make a note of the IP Address the file shows.

2. Check the hosts file.

3. Ping -a

4. Ping -a <IP_Address>

5. Nslookup <hostname>

6. Ipconfig /all


Check if there are any discrepancies.

CA System Edge relies on a pre-configured network it does NO hostname resolution.
