Registry not able to connect to enterprise dashboard

Cause:
All supported DevTest releases and platforms.
Using MySQL External database.

Needed to change the character set on the following from latin1 to utf8 on the MySQL database:
character_set_client
character_set_connection
character_set_database
character_set_results
character_set_server

Restarted Registry and still getting error.

Added these two properties in the logging.properties file to get more database detail: log4j.logger.com.mchange.v2.c3p0=DEBUG
log4j.logger.com.mchange.v2.resourcepool=DEBUG

Seeing this error now in the registry.log: DEBUG com.mchange.v2.c3p0.impl.DefaultConnectionTester - Testing a Connection in response to an Exception: com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.MySQLSyntaxErrorException: INSERT command denied to user 'Bogus_App_id'@"11.111.11.11' for table 'sequence' Tried to do an insert from MySQL and getting the same error.

Resolution

Changed Bogus_App_id user to have Create, Read, Update and Delete permissions on all the tables.
Resolved issue.
