Issue:
We have a device not collecting data.  The device is showing in the Inventory>Devices but not showing up in the DataAggregator>Monitored devices.

Multiple data sources are in use, and no data is seen in Data Aggregator (DA) data source based reports but is for other data sources such as Network Flow Analysis (NFA).

When placing the device in a discover profile by itself, and rediscovering an existing device is found. When clicking unchanged, a different device than the one being discovered appears at a different IP address.

Environment:
CA Performance Management, all versions
Cause:
The device seen in CA Performance Management inventory is being supplied by the non-DA data source.

When looking at the device that is found during discovery as pre-existing in the DA Monitored devices Page, it is Management lost which means it cannot be contacted via SNMP

If you select IP / MAC Addresses on the same page, the IP of the device you are trying to discover appears in the list of IP addresses.
Resolution:

If the existing device is no longer in use, delete the device and rediscover the new device.

Note that deleting the device removes all historical data for the device.
