Question:

Why are the temp storage records for CA Ideal users and CA Ideal systems not deleted even after sign off?

Environment:

z/OS, z/VSE

Answer:

The user records are not deleted even after the user signs off CA Ideal to eliminate the need to re-access the CA Datacom Dictionary for logon information, thereby improving logon performance for subsequent logons to CA Ideal.

The system records are not deleted from temporary storage unless the CA Ideal system definition is updated within the CICS region. The presence of these records improves performance by eliminating the need to access the Datacom Dictionary each time a system is accessed with the region.
