From version 12.5 and above, the Software Delivery Job status behavior has been changed.  To reduce network load, a new feature called "Bulk Update" was introduced, which by default returns job status messages after 5 minutes in order to allow all or at least a bulk of job statuses to be returned in one go.

CA Client Automation 12.5 and above.

Disable the ‘”Bulk Update” policy by setting the "Bulk Update: Run in bulk update mode" to False. The policy parameter is located under:

Control Panel/Configuration/Configuration Policy/Default Computer Policy/DSM/Software Delivery/Scalability Server

There are a few other settings that can be used to configure Bulk Update to suit your requirements.

"Bulk Update: Wait between bulk updates" by default is set to 5 minutes. This sets the time between each bulk update job.

There are a couple of settings that involve the bulk update mode, such as the max number of jobs that report their job status after which the bulk will be processed. These are highlighted in the screenshot above.
