Default for 'Set Planned Cost Dates' Not Effective If It is Not Configured on Project Create Page

Description:

When 'Set Planned Cost Dates' is not configured on the Project Create page, the value of this field on the Project Schedule page is always false regardless of the default set in Studio.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Studio, Objects, Project, Attributes: 'Keep Investment and Budget Dates in Sync', Default, make sure it is checked. Submit
  2. Studio, Objects, Project, Views, Project Properties, [Fields], 'Set Planned Cost Dates', Default, make sure it is checked. Submit
  3. Studio, Objects, Project, Views, Project Properties, make sure "Set Planned cost Dates" field is in the Selected Column for both [Layout:Create] and [Layout:Edit] views
  4. Home, Projects, New: notice on the create page the field "Set Planned cost Dates" is checked, as expected.
  5. Studio, Objects, Project, Views, Project Properties, [Layout:Create], move "Set Planned cost Dates" out of the Selected Column, Submit
  6. Home, Projects, New: notice that on the create page the field "Set Planned cost Dates" is not present, as expected.
  7. Fill in all required fields on this page to finish project creation
  8. On this project navigate to the Schedule page and examine the "Set Planned cost Dates" field

Expected Result: It is checked as per the default value defined on step 1 and 2.
Actual Result: It is not checked.

Solution:

WORKAROUND:

Configure the 'Set Planned Costs Dates' ('Keep Investment and Budget Dates in Sync') on the Project [Layout:Create] page.

This behavior also applies to Programs.
