Issue:
We are running v3.0
Our Default Domain Discover has failed the past two nights.
Occurred On: Thu Feb 01 23:11:29 EST 2018 Item Description: Linux *** 2.6.32-431.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP Sun Nov 10 22:19:54 EST 2013 x86_64
Event Description: Discovery of profile Default Domain was detected to be hanging at IP ping sweep. Event ID: 16269067 Data Source: DA@hostname

Environment:
CAPM 3.5 GA and older.
Cause:
Discovery of profile Default Domain was detected to be hanging at IP ping sweep
If it's an existing device, then it could be falling into the issue where we can ping the device during discovery, but can't reach it via SNMP. BUT it's an existing SNMP enabled device, so we continue to discover the system, IP addresses, and reachability facets on the device, and that results in snmpgetnext timing out doing MIB discovery. If it's long enough, it could result in the discovery aborting.

Resolution:
This is being fixed in 3.5 January kit, and the 3.6 GA release.
so it only does the facet discovery if we can reach it via SNMP during discovery.

Please contact CA Technical Support for any non-GA patch kits.
