Issue:

Working with DB2 and SQL Server database publishing, an error was found in the scripts that are generated during the process.  After investigation, it appears Quotes are missing.  Is this an error with Datamaker?

Environment:
DB2SQL ServerGTDatamaker 4.3
Cause:

When trying to publish from DB2 z/OS or UDB into SQL Server a column of Timestamp data type Datamaker will not put quotes around the information being inserted into SQL Server and the insert fails. This is an error in code.

Resolution:

If a Datamaker patch is needed due to the quotes issue as mentioned, please contact CA Support. You can open a case following this video. Ask support to determine if this patch is in the latest GA version of software delivered after October 13, 2017.  If one could not be included, CA Support team will work with you and development to make sure this fix can be adapted to your environment and specific version if appropriate.
