Problem Description:

Customer is not seeing any data in Live reporting and $NH_HOME/log/system.log shows the following error message

Error nhiRegStats[Active] Pgm nhiRegStats[Active]: Unable to execute 'insert /*+ append */ into NH_REG0 select * from nhgt_REG0' (ORA-04030: out of process memory when trying to allocate 65552 bytes (). 

This problem is seen on Windows 2008 32 Bit machines.

 

Solution:

a) Check the Memory Utilization has maxed out on the server. If yes memory has to be added.

b) Add a /3GB Switch 

To enable the 3GB switch: 

Right-click on the Command Prompt icon in the Accessories program group of the Start menu. Click Run as Administrator. 

At the command prompt, enter: bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVa 3072 

Restart the computer. 

To disable the 3GB switch: 

Right-click on the Command Prompt icon in the Accessories program group of the Start menu. Click Run as Administrator. 

At the command prompt, enter: bcdedit /deletevalue IncreaseUserVa 

Restart the computer.
