I would like to have my Custom Field show up on ONLY ONE project.

Resolution:

**There are 2 options to make your Custom Field show up on only One project**

1) Create a Custom Field for ONLY one project
(you will not see this on any other project)

Create the Custom Field for the project (For this example, it is called Task Project, with a custom field, Task State)

  1. Setup > Workspaces and Projects > select the workspace > select Projects > select the Project
  2. Select Fields > Type = Task
  3. + New Field
  4. Enter the Name and Display Name (Task State)
  5. Type = Drop Down, list your Values
  6. Visible This Project = Yes
  7. Save and Close

Create a Custom Board and apply the Field

  1. Navigate to Task Project
  2. Go to a custom page or the dashboard
  3. Add App > select Custom Board
  4. Custom Board Settings
  5. Enter a Title
  6. Project = Choose Specific Project = Task Project
  7. Type = Task
  8. Columns = Task State
  9. Save

2) Create a Custom Field in a Workspace, but only have it show up on ONE project
(this would be useful if you think you will want this custom field on another project in the future)

Create the Custom Field for the project Setup > Workspaces and Projects > select the workspace

  1. Select Fields > Type = Task
  2. + New Field
  3. Enter the Name and Display Name (Task State)
  4. Type = Drop Down, list your Values
  5. Visible (All Projects) = No
  6. Save and Close

Make the Custom Field Visible on Task Project

  1. Setup > Workspaces and Projects > select the workspace > Select the project
  2. Select Fields > Type = Task >
  3. Edit
  4. Visible This Project = Yes

  2. Go to a custom page or the dashboard
  3. Add App > select Custom Board
  4. Custom Board Settings
  5. Enter a Title
  6. Project = Choose Specific Project = Task Project

Additional Information:
NOTE: If you want to use the custom field for mapping of custom states to ex. schedule state on a Kanban app, the field type must be a 'Drop Down'.  Multivalue fields will not work for Kanban board mapping.
