Issue:

When attempting to import a file containing converted WCC 11.1 JSC views into WCC 11.4 using the wcc_monitor scrtipt/bat file, the import fails with the following error...

Initialization..........................................
Authenticating with EEM..
Import started from file temp.txt
Importing.
Import verbose result:
EE41020 Unexpected error. See log details.

Cause:

WCC 11.4 restricts the characters allowed for certain Monitoring View and Alert Policy attributes. These same restrictions were not in place for the 11.1 Job Status Console. Therefore, it is possible for an import file from 11.1 to contain characters for certain attributes that are not allowed in 11.4. When this occurs, the import fails with the error mentioned above.

Resolution:

The following view/alert policy attributes are restricted to characters a-z, A-Z, 0-9, hash(#), period(.), underscore(_), and hyphen(-)...

insert_view:

insert_alert_policy:
text:

If the import is failing with the EE41020 error, check the fields above within the import file and make sure there are none that contain restricted characters. Parenthesis are a common character used in previous releases that are restricted in 11.4, especially in view descriptions. Modify any attributes found using the restricted characters to remove them. Once that is done, the file should import properly.
