The following error message appears when SCM fails to connect USD (ITCM) server

"Connect to USD Server" operation failed.

Solution:

The problem is most likely related to the incorrect password that SCM uses to connect to USD server. SCM/USD maintains two password while attempting to connect to USD server and SCM agent:

Important! CA SCM automatically stores the USD server user name and password (if specified) in the \CA_SCM_HOME\husdsr.dfo file and encrypts this file, using the svrenc utility. To update the USD Server user name, password, or both, you must use the svrenc utility.
