Configuring or changing the notification server data source so that Notification Manager points to the correct database is accomplished from the Notification Manager GUI.

  1. Start-> Programs->CA->Unicenter Asset Portfolio Management-> Notification Manager

    If no data source is configured, create a new data source.

    In the Notification Manager screen:

    1. Expand Notification Server.

    2. Expand Local (or the name of the Notification Server you wish to configure).

    3. Highlight Data Source.

    4. Click on File in the main menu.

    5. Choose New Data source.

      In the New Data source screen,

      1. Choose the Database Type from the dropdown list.

For SQL Server:

  1. Choose the Server Name from the dropdown list or type in the server name.

  2. Enter the Table Owner.

  3. Enter the Database Name.

  4. Click OK.

For Oracle:

  1. Enter the Service name that is used to connect to the Oracle instance.

  2. Enter the Table Owner.

  3. Click OK.

Editing an existing data source:

In the Notification Manager screen:

  1. Expand Notification Server.

  2. Expand Local (or the name of the Notification Server you wish to configure).

  3. Expand Data Source.

  4. Highlight the Data source you wish to edit.

  5. Click on File on the main menu.

  6. Choose edit data source.

    In the Edit Data source screen,

    1. Choose the Database Type from the dropdown list.

For SQL Server:

  1. Choose the Server Name from the dropdown list or type in the server name.

  2. Enter the Table Owner.

  3. Enter the Database Name.

  4. Click OK.

For Oracle:

  1. Enter the Service name that is used to connect to the Oracle instance.

  2. Enter the Table Owner.

  3. Click OK.
