Question:

If a Configuration Policy is applied to a Computer Group at the Enterprise level, is it replicated down to the Domain,

so that the Policy is automatically applied to the group on the Domains?

Environment:

CA Client Automation - All versions

Any Environment with a EM/DM Combination

Answer:

All configuration policies that are updated or created at the Enterprise level will get replicated down to the Domain level.

Also all Groups at the Enterprise are replicated down to All Domain Managers.

So if a Configuration policy is applied to a Group at the Enterprise level, than the Group and policy will replicated down to the Domain and

all machines in that Group at the Domain Level will have the Configuration Policy automatically applied.

Also any changes made to the Default Computer Policy at the enterprise will replicate down to all Machines in all the Domains.

Additional Information:

No replicated Configuration Policies can be edited at the Domain level

You can create Configuration Policies at the Domain Level and when they get applied to a group,

they will overwrite any policies that have been replicated down from the Enterprise.
