Question:

How do you setup a Configuration Policy for automatically recording all the Remote Control sessions ?

 

Environment:   

CA  Client Automation - All Versions 

 

Answer:

In the DSM Explorer,  

1.     Expand Control Panel
2.     Expand Configuration Policy

There are 2 ways to do this :

Either change the Default Computer policy or Create a New Policy and apply to only a certain numbers of machines.

Default Computer Policy:

1.    Expand Default Computer Policy
2.    Right click on Default and Computer Policy and select Unseal.
3.    Expand DSM\Remote Control\Host\Recording
4.    On the Right hand side, select Record all sessions.
5.    Change the value to True.
6.    Seal the Default Computer Policy.
7.    This gets applied to All Computers 

 

Create a New Policy

1.    Create a New Configuration Policy
2.    Expand DSM\Remote Control\Host\Recording 
3.    On the Right hand side, select Record all sessions
4.    Change the value to True. 
5.    Seal the New Configuration Policy. 
6.    Apply the Policy to the Group of machines, you want Remote Control recorded on.
