Introduction:

I have an MVS PDS with individual PTF members. Is there a way to concatenate the members into a single flat file on MVS so that I do not have to list each PTF member for the SMP/e RECEIVE?

Instructions:
Yes, use TSO ISPF 3.3 COPY to copy all members of the PDF to a single flat data set.
 
From TSO ISPF P.3.3, enter the PDS data set name with (*) to copy all members:

CAUNZIP is a TSO utility that extracts the contents of the solution cart order and produces a set of z/OS UNIX files which can be used for SMP/E RECEIVE processing.

CA Concatenate is a Windows utility allows you to concatenate binary(.bin) or text(.txt) files thus reducing the number of files that need to be uploaded to the mainframe. CA Concatenate can be downloaded from the CA Support Freeware Utilities/ Toolbox at
