Introduction:
Explanation regarding 'Common name 'xxxx' is not a simple attribute' error seen in stdlog
Question:
What is the cause and\or meaning if the domsrvr:wsp 4328 ERROR factory.c 1978 Common name 'xxxx' is not a simple attribute message in the stdlog?
Answer:
This error is generated in the stdlog when the 'Common_Name' is set to a field which is an SREL\BREL on the schema\object layer. In general, the 'Common_Name' should be a simple STRING field like sym.
The error does not affect any functionality and can be safely ignored.
If you really have to get rid of the error from being written in the stdlog, simply remove the offending line from wsp.mods file or via WSP.
