How to perform a cold start of a Automic Operations Manager system


Investigation

Used during the troubleshooting various issues. This will clear out certain tables.


Solution

1. Stop all Server processes (CPs and WPs on all servers)

2. Edit ucsrv.ini on the Automic server host and change StartMode=NORMAL to StartMode=COLD

3. Start only one WP and monitor the new active log file until you see the message ***R E A D Y  F O R  R U N*** appear.

4. Start the remaining CPs and WPs about 5 seconds apart.
