Description:
Our user-defined report was launching correctly from Clarity, but now it does not and we get the RPT-007 error message.
How do we determine the cause of the issue?
Solution:
To reveal more information on the error go into Business Objects InfoView.
Locate the report that has just been generated from the launch in Clarity.
Right-Click > click 'History' > click 'Failed' link
This will show the error details
For this specific report, the error message shows: id: SDK - invalid prompt identifier (Error: RWI 00011)
To resolve this issue, go to the report definition in Business Objects InfoView.
- Locate the parameter on the report > right-click and show the prompt properties dialog

- REMOVE the selections for the Prompt Properties:
DO NOT CHECK 'Prompt with List of Values' and 'Keep last values selected'
Click 'OK' button.
- Save the Report Definition (overwrite the existing definition)
- Launch the report from Clarity
