Clarity: Timesheet Browsing Error 500

Description:

When we attempt to access Timesheets, we see an error message in the application.

Error 500 System Error. Contact System Administrator

The application log file shows the following error message. What is causing the error?

Exception in processing java.lang.RuntimeException: com.niku.union.persistence.PersistenceException:
SQL error code: 1861
Error message: [CA Clarity][Oracle JDBC Driver][Oracle]ORA-01861: literal does not match format string

Solution:

This error message indicates an issue with interpreting dates in the query that returns the data requested.

Check and verify that the 'init.ora' file in the Clarity database has the proper setting for NLS_DATE_FORMAT parameter.
If the setting is not correct, update the setting to the proper format, restart services and access the Timesheets.
