Steps for deploying NSA and Application .EAR files

Solution:

NSA (nsa.ear)

  1. Admin Console Applications Install New Application

  2. Click browse and select the nsa.ear file, then click Next.

  3. Click next on the "Select Installation Options" screen and accept the defaults.

  4. On the "Map modules to servers" screen, select the server or cluster then select the checkbox for NSA and click Apply.

  5. Click Next.

  6. On the "Map resource references to resources" screen, select the "none" option in the specify authentication method section.

  7. At the bottom of the authentication section, select 'None' by checking the 'None' radio button in the 'Specify authentication method', and browse for the Target Resource JNDI Name to be assigned to the NSA.

  8. Select the data source that you created and click Apply. For Oracle use ClarityOracleDS, for SQL Server use ClaritySQLServerDS.

  9. Select the checkbox for NSA and click Apply in the "Apply Multiple Mappings" section, then click Next.

    In the "Map virtual hosts for Web modules" screen, select the NSA checkbox, apply the default_host virtual host for NSA, and then click Next.

  10. On the Summary page click Finish.

  11. After the NSA install completed, click save to the master configuration.

  12. Start the NSA and proceed with the remainder of the installation.

App (niku.ear)

NOTE: A new, separate application server must be created by client to be used for the deployment of the niku application .ear file. Do not install more than one Clarity App Server (nsa.ear or niku.ear) in the same JVM.

  1. Admin Console Applications Install New Application

  2. Click browse and select the niku.ear file, then click Next.

  3. Click next on the "Select Installation Options" screen and accept the defaults.

  4. On the "Map modules to servers" screen, select the server or cluster then select the checkbox for Clarity Web and acweb.war, then Apply.

  5. Click Next.

  6. On the "Map resource references to resources" screen, select the "none" option in the specify authentication method section.

  7. At the bottom of the authentication section, select 'None' by checking the 'None' radio button in the 'Specify authentication method', and browse for the Target Resource JNDI Name for both Clarity Web and acweb.war.

  8. Select the data source that you created and click Apply. For Oracle use ClarityOracleDS, for SQL Server use ClaritySQLServerDS. Do this for each module.

  9. Select the checkbox for Web and acweb.war and click Apply in the "Apply Multiple Mappings" section, then click Next.

  10. In the "Map virtual hosts for Web modules" screen, select the Clarity Web and acweb.war checkboxes, apply the default_host virtual host for Clarity Web and acweb.war, and then click Next.

  11. On the Summary page click Finish.

  12. After the install completed, click save to the master configuration.
