Clarity PPM: Post to WIP job fails with generic error (System error. Contact System administrator)

Issue:

The Post to WIP job has been failing on XOG transactions.

The only error that shows in the UI is: System error. Contact System administrator.

There are no specific errors in the APP or BG logs pertaining to the database.

 

Cause:

The problem is with what is contained in the table PPA_TRANSCONTROLAPINFO.

PPA_TRANSCONTROLAPINFO stores all the transactions that were imported.

Records from this table can and will be deleted in order for resolve the issue.
 

Resolution:

Please contact Support for an analysis and confirmation to proceed with the following solution:

1. Make a backup of the following tables:
a. PPA_TRANSCONTROLAPINFO
b. PPA_TRANSCONTROL
c. PPA_TRANSCONTROL_VALUES

2. Truncate the following tables:
PPA_TRANSCONTROLAPINFO; 
PPA_TRANSCONTROL; 
PPA_TRANSCONTROL_VALUES; 

3. ReXOG the transactions file.
