When attempting to export a project to Microsoft Project (MSP) from CA Clarity PPM, an error message similar to the following pops up:

An import error occurred.

Check row 57 column 277

This is not a valid duration, or it is outside the range for this field.

Type duration in the correct format: for example, 4 hours (or 4h), 12 days (or 12d), or 2ed for elapsed days.

To continue importing with additional error messages, click Yes.

To continue importing with no error messages, click No.

To stop importing, click Cancel.

This error may be caused by the project previously being saved back to Clarity with the Duration set to display in a different format other than Days.

To correct this, click on the 'NO' option on the error message to allow the project to completely open in MSP.

Then the Duration needs to be changed to display in Days under File > Options > Schedule > Duration is entered in : Days.
