Solution

    • Re-install the BI patches enclosed in the BI XI DVD: "C:\Temp\BO\Disk1\cabi\patch\biekpatch.exe"

    • Ensure All the BO Services are up and running.

    • Ensure password encryption is DISABLED.

    • Make sure that the SERVICE_NAME on your tnsnames entry is 'niku' all lower case. i.e.:
      your_entry =(DESCRIPTION =(ADDRESS_LIST =(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = your_host)(PORT = your_port)))(CONNECT_DATA =(SERVICE_NAME = niku))) i.e: Customer's system database name is 'niku10g' and the username is 'niku' NIKU10G =(DESCRIPTION =(ADDRESS_LIST =(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = localhost)(PORT = 1521)))(CONNECT_DATA =(SERVICE_NAME = niku)))
    • Verify the following parameters on NSA, under "Reporting Home Dir : X:\dbo"

      Service URL:
      http://<servername>:8080/dswsbobje/services/session

      Important! <servername> must be the server name, 'localhost' cannot be used
