Description:

In Clarity version 13, the end-user now has the ability to perform inline editing. We are seeing some problems with this functionality.

Some of the symptoms observed include: when in the editing mode, the numbers that come up on the cells are different from what are shown prior to clicking on the cells; or if we double click into a cell and enter a number it is not saved in this cell, it is saved in another cell; data that was entered using a single click on a cell directly below a cell populated using a double-click 'jumps' up one line.

Steps to Reproduce:

Using a double-click in a cell causes problems. This issue applies to any in-line editing grid view.

Example (on Project List View in-line editing)

In this example the cells were blank before making any changes
Row 1, single click (value=5)
Row 2, double-click (10)
Row 3, single click (20)
Row 4, double click (30)
Row 5, single click (40)
Row 6, double-click (50)
Row 7, single click (60)

Figure 1

Click 'Save' button. Values on the rows with single click, jumps up to rows with double-click
Row 1 = 5
Row 2 = 20
Row 3 = blank
Row 4 = 40
Row 5 = blank
Row 6 = 60
Row 7 = 0

Figure 2

Expected Result: The entry should be saved in the expected place.

Actual Result: The entry is not saved in the expected place. Since the cells were blank before entry, some cells are not updated and the value that is expected is in a different cell.

Solution:

WORKAROUND:

Do not use double-click to edit a cell.
