Cisco Nexus Switch shows every 5 minutes "Management Agent Lost" Alarms.
Device of type CiscoNXOS is no longer responding to primary
management requests (e.g. SNMP), but appears to be responsive to other
communication protocol (e.g. ICMP). This condition has persisted for an
extended amount of time. An alarm will be generated.
This is due to a bug in the CiscoNXOS version 5.2(1)N1(5) release.
There are logfiles without compression which causes the Flash-Memory-File-System overflows. In the version NXOS 5.2(1)N1(7) the problem is fixed.
There is no official statement published by Cisco yet but other clients have verified the problem and solution.
