When Client Automation was installed the mdb was given a custom dbname e.g. mdb_r14 and CCS was not installed

Now attempting to install CCS fails saying it cannot find the MDB.

Whilst the Client automation installer can work with custom dbnames the CCS installer is hard-coded to use the dbname 'mdb'

rename the mdb in SQL and reconfigure client automation as follows

  1. Close all DSM Explorers
  2. caf stop
  3. Rename the database to mdb in SQL Management Studio
  4. Edit the comstore with the new dbname
    • ccnfcmda -cmd setparametervalue -ps itrm/database/default -pn dbname -v mdb
  5. Change the mdb name in the table ca_n_tier with the following SQL
    • UPDATE ca_n_tier
      SET db_name='mdb'
  6. caf start
