JasperReports is used in many Broadcom products. For example, Service Desk/CMDB reporting uses Jaspersoft. If for any reason system administrator believes superuser password has be compromised then it is time to change its password. This tech doc provides steps how to do
the password change for superuser account.
How to Change Jaspersoft superuser Password?
JasperReports 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 on windows
1. Backup JIUser Jaspersoft database table. The default database name for Jaspersoft is jasperserver.
2. Run this query "UPDATE JIUser SET password = '' WHERE username = 'superuser';"
3. Restart Jaspersoft server instance after the DB update.
4. Login to the account using superuser without a password, then go to Manage - Users to add a new password.
