Question:

When should special acids Certsite and Certauth be the owners of digital certificates.

Answer:

Certsite is a pre-defined special acid created to hold personal (also referred to as site certificates) certificates that are going to be shared on multiple keyrings.  The certificates can be generated through Top Secret or obtained by a third party vendor.

Certauth is a pre-defined special acid created to hold certificate authority (CA certificates) certificates.  CA certificates are certificates that are used to sign other certificates.  The certificates can be generated through Top Secret or obtained by a third party vendor.
