CAPC version 188.8.131.52 (April kit) CA Performance Management fails to discover SNMP V3 devices. Discovery hangs at 5% for 15 minutes and then times out, listing the device as "unreachable"
CA Performance Management 3.5 April update
(This may apply to other versions)
The Data Collectors were not upgraded as part of installing the April update, and were still on version 184.108.40.206
The data collectors should reflect the latest version, 220.127.116.113, for the April update
Upgrade the Data Collectors, by going to the Administration / Monitored Items Management menu and clicking on "Data Collectors"
Highlight the data collector and then click on "Upgrade"
Repeat this for any additional data collectors
The upgrade process will cause the data collector to shutdown and restart
