Can't stop AdminUI service properly.

Issue:

When customer stopped AdminUI service, Windows service manager error as below occured, and can't stop properly.

"Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion" 

-------------------------------------------------------------------

 

Environment:  

AdminUI : R12.52 SP2 CR01

OS : Windows 2012 R2

 

Cause: 

It is issue of JBoss(Wildfly 8.x) + Windows 2012 R2.

 

At side of JBoss, in default content of service.bat, %CREDENTIAL% variable are set null.

By this reason, service.bat spends more time to stop, and 1053 timeout error occured.

 

But, if you set credential info to %CREDENTIAL%, but can't stop service properly.

This is issue expanded variable values of Windows 2012 R2.

 

Workaround:

Remove %CREDENTIAL% from %STOPPARAM% like below.

 

From :

set STOPPARAM="/c jboss-cli.bat --controller=%CONTROLLER% --connect %CREDENTIALS% --command=/host=!DC_HOST!:shutdown" 

set STOPPARAM="/c \"set NOPAUSE=Y ^^^&^^^& jboss-cli.bat --controller=%CONTROLLER% --connect %CREDENTIALS% --command=:shutdown\"" 

 

To :

set STOPPARAM="/c jboss-cli.bat --controller=%CONTROLLER% --connect --command=:shutdown" 

set STOPPARAM="/c jboss-cli.bat --controller=%CONTROLLER% --connect --command=:shutdown" 

 

And, this issue will be fixed in R12.6, because upgraded JBoss version planed to fixed will be used in that SiteMinder version.
