Question

After installing CA Business Intelligence (CABI) 3.x that comes with CA Service Desk Manager (CA SDM) 12.x, when launching CABI InfoView interface, there is no option to change the Authentication type - all that is presented is the username and password fields.  Is there a way to add this option?

Answer

Out of the box, CABI defaults to Enterprise authentication. Therefore, no other authentication types will be visible, even if they are configured, from Infoview.

A parameter needs to be set WEB.XML file for InfoView.

The file is located on the CABI server at CommonReporting3\Tomcat7\webapps\InfoViewApp\WEB-INF (note that the Tomcat directory name might differ depending on the version of Tomcat installed)

Search for the parameter '<param-name>authentication.visible</param-name>'

Change the value of this parameter from the default 'false' to 'true.

Save the changes to the file and recycle the CABI Apache Tomcat service via the CA Business Intelligence Central Configuration Manager.
